Old vampires around the world

Vampire myth go back to more than a thousand years, and occur in almost every culture. Here is more detail about the slavic vampire.

In eastern European countries:
Slavic vampires:Cause of being a vampire are being born with a teeth, tail, irregular dead, improper burial rituals etc.Preventatives are blocks under chin to prevent body from eating the shroud, placing poppy seeds in grave because vampire had fascination with counting.

Now, this is very different from the vampires we are familiar with today. people back then belived in witches and all this crazy things, but now we pay no mind.

Dictionary meanings

I went to the dictionary to check out what the meaning of the word vampire was, and this is what i got.

Vamp: a women who uses her charm or wiles to seduce and exploit men.

Very interesting, but i think it should be the other way around.

Vampire:

First meaning: body of a dead person belived to come from the grave and suck the blood of a person asleep.

This is and old meaning with slavic origin, the center of this deep myth.

Second meaning: a) one who lives praying on others. B) woman who exploits and ruins her lover.

Well, i think everyone would aswer A if asked what a vampire is. for B, no comment you already know what i think.

Vampirism: to belive in vampires.

You may think i belive in vampires, but i dont. I belive in the supernatural. Im just facinated by the myth, just like any other "normal" teenager is facinated with shoes.

Dark Series

Would you give up light for eternal darkness? When a female character in Christine Feehan’s Dark Series, she embarks on a journey that is sure to change the course of her history. The book has a lot if fights between Carpathians and vampires, but the paranormal romance makes the story whole. I love the plots she puts in her stories; they are phenomenal. I have read plenty of book reviews on Feehan’s series, and they never mention the individuality in her writing. I think she has her own voice.

The series starts in the Carpathian Mountains, where almost all legends and myths about vampires started. In the book, the Carpathian Mountains are wild, and described beautifully by Ms. Feehan. The Carpathian Mountains are located along the Transylvanian Alps, Romania, and ending close to Poland. They are really fascinating to me because I would someday love to go there and take a tour of Casa Dracula. Ms. Feehan is very original in her stories, because they are really pure novels that are very hard to turn into a movie. I’ll be very devastated if that happens.

In each book the main character belongs to a race called Carpathians, which is very predictable, but also cool. In the story, Carpathian basically means that you are one with nature, and I understood this because of two major points. First, since they cannot stand the rays of the sun, they bury themselves inside the earth without a coffin. Second, they can shape-shift into all kinds of animal forms, but my most favorites are eagles, wolves, panthers, and owls. No bats, surprisingly. I was disappointed, but I got over it after the first book.

I think Ms. Feehan’s plot and background information of the whole story is genius. I don’t want to ruin the surprise for anyone who wants to read her series, but I’ll give a little dirt anyway. The book takes place in the 21st century, and the male characters are finding human females with psychic abilities that are their other half. What about the Carpathian females? Well, many of them die in a battle, and now the ones who are left can’t give birth to female children. Ok, enough. If I keep going I would be giving you the whole story.

I’m not done reading the whole series; I still have a few more books to read and can’t wait. I think her books are for everyone, so don’t hesitate to pick one up and sink your teeth into it. If you start reading paranormal romance, it will give you so many ideas about all kinds of things. And if you’re a writer like me, this will be a positive influence in your life.

sweetblood

When earth cools after sunset, blood is sweeter than tears.
While everyone slumbers, blood is sweeter than tears.
I awake and drink thy sweet blood, salvation found in this crimson flood.
Your death shall make a river of tears, but I will never change my nature dear.
For tears are bitter, and blood is honey sweet.
